I feedback from my students mid-semester in order to optimize the use of PeerWise. I have chosen not to include those comments as the feedback I gathered a the end of the semester is more meaningful. Comparing the mid-semester feedback to the end of semester feedback I gathered, my shift in focus clearly changed from viewing PeerWise as the mechanism of change to viewing myself as the mechanism of change in CHEM 201. Thus, in this section, I have included the end of semester feedback to highlight what I have learned about myself and my presence as a peer mentor. I have learned from my students’ feedback that as a peer mentor, I offered a valuable source of support and I have come to accept that my shortcomings with PeerWise is not a reflection of my ability as a source of support.
